Tonight was actually somewhat productive in that I got only 3 or 4 slides scanned, but they were much better scans then what I had originally. VueScan is decent software - but Mr. Hamrick needs to work on the film profiles that he has…It may take a little work to get it to match what’s on screen, but at least the brightness and contrast are correct, which could not be said for my scans from last night using VueScan. So, I think I’d recommend it, but test quite a few items first, not just one or two. Oh, and to shut off those possibly good, but possibly pesky film curves, (as there is a lack of non-Kodak curves), change the input type from Slide or Negative to Image, which bypasses that part of the processing algorithm.
